JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the Attorney Hiring Manager and the Senior Attorney Hiring Coordinator, the Attorney Hiring Assistant provides assistance with a variety of administrative and project-related duties including applicant data entry; coordination of all on-campus, virtual and callback interviews; processing of all recruiting related expenses; assisting with the summer associate program and other annual events; assisting with lateral associate and partner hiring; preparing departmental correspondence; maintaining files and other administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparing Correspondence.
  • Answering Telephones.
  • Processing Expenses.
  • Coordinating On-Campus Visits.
  • Interacting with Candidates, Vendors and Law Schools.
  • Maintaining Departmental Data in Excel.
  • Various research projects as requested.
  • Maintenance of Attorney Hiring website content.
  • Maintenance of Attorney Hiring job board.
  • Creating and Maintaining Electronic Records in Document Management System.
  • Coordination of Logistics Related to in-office and virtual candidate visits.
  • Assisting with the summer associate program.
  • Assisting with the fall recruitment program including several duties related to on-campus recruiting and the in-office callback process.
  • Providing support during law student, summer program and diversity-related social events.
  • Assisting with lateral associate hiring, including candidate correspondence and interview scheduling.
  • Assisting with London associate hiring as needed.
  • Assisting with lateral partner hiring as needed.
  • Supporting firmwide team in project-related assignments.
  • Ability to work overtime during peak recruiting season required.

Qualifications:

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • Possess strong organizational, clerical, and creative problem-solving skills and will be both detail and team oriented.
  • Must have excellent client service skills and be willing to accept direction from multiple team members in order to complete the overall goals of the department.
  • Flexibility to shift responsibilities as necessary.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure in order to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact in a professional manner with attorneys, staff and outside personnel on all levels.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Entry-level with a four-year college degree required.
